Charlotte, N.C.-based Edison Nation Medical, in collaboration with Carolinas Healthcare System, has announced a new Healthcare Innovation Search for products, devices and technologies aimed at improving the quality of life for senior citizens.

The six-month search will culminate with the best ideas being presented to leading healthcare vendors.

Some of the categories being considered include medication management systems, remote monitoring systems, products that assist with activities of daily living, products that improve safety and mobility, and senior-friendly portable products and devices.

The search is open to the public with an emphasis on submissions from physicians, nurses, entrepreneurs, small businesses, patients and caregivers.
