Rochester, New York-based Response Care Inc. and Franklin, Wisc.-based Accutech Security are integrating their software solutions to enhance wireless wander management and security alerts.

Integrating Accutech’s RFID-based system with Response Care’s nurse call systems and wander management systems means that alerts and photos of residents can now be sent directly to Response Care mobile devices.

Additionally, organizations that use Response Care’s solutions now have the advantage of enhanced features offered by Accutech Security’s mobile solution including resident ID and loiter and door-ajar monitoring.

“We’re seeing a consolidation of alerting systems in the healthcare industry,” said Myron Kowal, president of Response Care, and Chris Konicek, marketing director at Accutech Security, in a joint statement. “Communities aren’t interested in three different computers for three different systems. Our goal is to provide the most reliable, scalable, cost-effective solutions that integrate with as many existing systems as possible.”
