Private equity firm The Carlyle Group will soon take HCR ManorCare public with a roughly $500 million initial public offering, according to a Reuters report based information from anonymous sources.

“The initial public offering,” the Reuters report read, “which would be the latest of several from private equity owned healthcare companies, could give the nursing home and assisted living facility operator an enterprise value, which includes debt, of up to $2 billion, one of the sources said.”

The IPO is expected to occur after Labor Day, and HCR ManorCare should file IPO registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission within the coming month, the report read.
