Argentum, OnShift working to meet workforce needs

The silver tsunami is causing ripple effects for long-term care (LTC) providers. The industry needs to recruit 1.2 million new employees by 2025 while continuing to create attractive working environments and career paths.

Argentum and OnShift have announced a three-year corporate partnership to conduct research, compile innovative resources and create best practices to give LTC providers tools to improve workforce strategies.

"Each day, senior living providers are faced with major workforce issues, including high employee turnover, fierce competition for talent and growing wage pressures," says CEO Mark Woodka in a press release. "OnShift’s partnership with Argentum is a significant step to helping the senior living industry move forward in overcoming workforce challenges.

"With a sound staffing and workforce strategy, senior living providers can experience better operational performance while delivering high quality care and service to residents, their families and loved ones."

OnShift offers a suite of employee management software for LTC and senior living providers.

Argentum, formerly known as the Assisted Living Federation of America is the largest national trade association for resident-centered senior living communities.
