ATLANTA—Five noteworthy senior living and long-term care projects today were awarded DESIGN 2011’s Citation of Merit awards at Long-Term Living’s Environments for Aging conference. A panel of 16 jurors representing interior designers, architects, providers, and educators honored five projects among dozens of submissions.

The Best in Show award was conferred on Perkins+Will for Willson Hospice House, Albany, Georgia. Other Citation of Merit winners include Lizard Rock Designs, LLC, for Casitas on East Broadway, Tucson, Arizona; Runberg Architecture Group PLLC for Merrill Gardens at The University, Seattle, Washington; CJMW for Penick Village Garden Cottage, Southern Pines, North Carolina; and Hoffman, LLC, for Eden Rehabilitation Suites and Eden Green House Homes, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The winning projects will be featured in DESIGN Environments for Aging 2011, a special supplement to Long-Term Living, out later this month.
